We are working diligently to save Clarksburg’s history.
It won’t be long before much of local history is lost. Artifacts will fade if not preserved properly and oral traditions will die with their narrators. We welcome your support with our ongoing efforts to combat the loss of the details that tell our story.
General Operational Expenses
The Clarksburg History Museum operates solely on donations from members as well as grants. We are working to build our general operating fund so we can continue to cover the everyday needs of the organization.
Exhibits
Exhibits are the core of what we do. Great care is taken to preserve and present artifacts regarding Clarksburg and Harrison County history. Our most recent installation features local athletes and information on sports feats. We even salvaged some gymnasium floor to complete the look!
Digital Archives Project
Our collection houses many antique books, newspapers and other documents related to Clarksburg and Harrison County History. We are working on converting as much as we can to digital format so we can share as much as we can. We need new equipment and archival supplies to continue this project.
